Terminating LEDs to ribbon cable

Using a QRD1114 Infrared sensor for a project. Like regular LEDs, QRD1114 has 4 long legs.

This sensor connects to the main circuit board using a ribbon cable. Just wondering if there is an industrial method of terminating LEDs or Sensors like this type to a ribbon? Any thoughts?

The pin spacing is 0.100 x 0.083 so it is very close to the standard 0.1 x 0.1 of pin headers and IDC connectors.
