Is there a way to test a SIM800L board without using a SIM card? Or, without network? I have no network where I am currently, but I want to test it now that I got it soldered in place.
The light comes on and powers up properly right now, but signaling not connected to network.
Before I soldered it into the final project, I was able to take the board up to a high point, and the light blinked, signaling it was connected to the network.
Maybe there is a simple command that doesn't require the card? I looked online, but no one seems to need to do this.
