Text string

Hi,

I figured out it not so easy to works with text strings without using the TextString library. Is there a more easy way to build a string like

char myString[3]
myString=‘I’+’;’+‘1’;

of course this doesn’t work but I look for a such simplea and fast way…

also I need to make a string from mixing int values and char. With library text string I can’t figure how to do that as this doesn’t work :

int a=millis();
toSend.setCharAt(1,a);

Is there a way to cast types ?

Thanks

Seb

In general, C lacks “easy” string manipulation. :frowning:

You probably want “sprintf()” for creating formatted strings, but it tends to be “expensive” in terms of sketch size.
