Hi,
I want to power ON/OFF a 2.4" 8 bit parallel shield with a transistor:

The shield is this one:

What type of transistor should I use? Could you recomment me one model? Any another configuration/technique for this purpose?
Thanks

I recommend using P-ch MOSFETs to on/off VCC instead of GND.
@chrisknightley , thanks for info. I need to power the TFT with 5V, could you recommend me a logic level MOSFET for this purpose?
Other times that I tried to switch on a load (5v fan and 200mA) with a mosfet and 5V aplied both to gate and load side, the output voltaje drops to 3.6V with load connected, if load were not connected the output voltage was ok, 5V. I used this module:

With same configuration and 12V for load (for a 12V fan and 500mA) and 5V in the gate, no problem.
Yes.
I think logic level P-ch MOSFET well works to you.
It can be used in such circuits.

The signal logic is inverted, so the TFT is powered when signal output LOW.
[R] is a pull-up to ensure that the TFT is not powered when the signal pin is Hi-Z.
It's about 10k ohm to 100k ohm is fine.
