Awhile back I purchased a cheap 240 x 320 color TFT LCD with a ILI9341 driver from ebay. I tried to get it working, but it only displayed a blank white screen. I triple-checked the wiring, tried multiple libraries, but nothing worked. I finally decided to try it again with a different library, but I forgot to connect the LCD's ground to the Arduino's ground. Of course, it works perfectly, although I have no idea why. Whenever I connect the grounds together, the screen blanks out. Has anyone else had this happen to them before?
3v3 display connected to a 5V board?
I have a homemade NVT2006 translator board that translates the voltage level bidirectionally.
