tft_init was not declared in this scope

Trying to upload this code and I’m getting this message (tft_init was not declared in this scope)
what can I do the fix this?

ic_tester.ino (4.65 KB)

int screenStatus = 0, lastStatus = 0;
int *pin, pinCount = 0;

void(* resetFunc) (void) = 0;

void setup() {

delay( 1000 ); // power-up safety delay
FastLED.addLeds<LED_TYPE, LED_PIN, COLOR_ORDER>(leds, NUM_LEDS).setCorrection( TypicalLEDStrip );
FastLED.setBrightness( BRIGHTNESS );

//TFT setup
void tft_init

uint16_t identifier = tft.readID();
if (identifier == 0x0101)
identifier = 0x9341;
Serial.println(“TFT initialized!!”);
screenStatus = 0;

Did you mean,

Oh, wait a minute… you have posted a complete sketch as an attachment, and also some inline code. They are different and you have not made any comment to guide us about that. Which one are we supposed to look at? Which is the actual code that gives you the error message?

What is this section supposed to do, if it did compile (which it can’t)?

void tft_init

That is not valid C syntax.

Sorry for the confusion, is the attached code line 89

Please post a link to where you downloaded this code from.

there you go, this is the link; GitHub - akshaybaweja/Smart-IC-Tester

You never answered the questions in reply#2… we now have the original sketch, but don’t know if the problems you are having, are with the original sketch, or one that you have modified. If you have problems with a modified sketch, we need to see that too.

Have you verified that you have correctly installed all the libraries that are referenced in the sketch?

#include <Adafruit_GFX.h>    // Core graphics library
#include <Adafruit_TFTLCD.h> // Hardware-specific library
#include <TouchScreen.h> //Touch Screen Library

I used the original and the problem starts on line 89 of the code. regarding the library, I knew at this so I had no idea I had to do that. I will now and verify. thank you so much for your help and understanding.
