I want to build a photovore but I really don't want to waste time trying to build a chassis for it, so I thought I would buy a cheap rc car. What i need is all four directions, (not the weird backward turns left type of thing), what would you guys recommend? Ebay would be last choice. Something <$10 would be ideal.

I've looked at $5 toy RC cars at walmart that have seperate foward/reverse and left/right controls. Some of the dollar type stores have them for ~$8.
Last time I was in wall greens they had el-cheapo monster trucks for 9.99$, of course your luck will vary (if you want to go "off carpet")
and they almost always have some rc car for the same price
