I need a confirmation if the ds18b20 temperature sensor can be in contact with copper or metal pipes that will reach temperatures up to 100-110 degrees. I need to know if the sensor can be in contact with metal pipes that will reach very high temperatures. If the sensor is not suitable, could you tell me which sensor is installed for this type of work? Thanks so much everyone and have a good day
Reading the data sheet and catalogs will do wonders - a search on "ds18b20 temperature sensor" (w/o quotes) gives a ton of links for the information you need - and much faster than posting in a forum and waiting for someone else to do the search
Thanks but I have already looked at everything possible and nothing talks about putting it in contact with a metal tube. I wanted to ask you for advice on which temperature sensor to choose so that it can be in contact with metal pipes. Thanks again

Because that is simply irrelevant.
Only the temperature matters.

Excuse me, I don't understand that you mean "only the temperature counts". I apologize for not understanding you and thank you
I don't understand that you mean "only the temperature counts".
It means that it does not matter what the DS18B20 is in contact with; air, water, magic fairy dust or copper pipe, the only thing that matters is how hot it is.
ok....thanks and good day
I think it is a valid question. A thermocouple, for example, cannot touch a grounded conductor.
The plastic part of the DS18B20 can touch anything. The metal legs on the sensor must be electrically insulated.
