Hi everyone...
This is my first post and I am very overwhelmed by the possibilitys of the allmighty Arduino. I am 24 years old and study Media-Design at the university of applied sciences in Mainz / Germany.
Normally I do Flash-Programming, Video-stuff and 3D-Animation but thats not enough so i want to step into microprocessor interactivity
My electronic know how is restricted to what i learned in school some years ago, so i'm not really up to date, but anyhow, I'd like to realise a project with Arduino this semestre. And therefor i may need your help.
I'd like to create a Gadget that changes its light and colour depending on its acceleration in 3 axes. So let's say x-acceleration high -> blue is bright... and so on for green and red.
I thought of using Superflux RGB LEDs for the light and Triple Axis Accelerometer Breakout - LIS3LV02DQ. The thing is, this all has to be driven by akku and needs to be built inside a cube that swims on the water.. So it also needs to be waterproof, which means it will be completely laminated. And it should be lightweight.
There I face certain problems:
How to load the akku? Maybe Induction?
How to switch it on? Some magnetic switches?
How to dim the LEDs? 30 Leds mean an Amperage of max. 600 mA at 5 Volt.
If you have any ideas I would be more than happy if you let me know about them.
Here is my poor plan of how it should work:
Thanks,
Pascal.
