The fastest way to store data

Hi guys!

I would like to make a sampling and storage microcontroller to show a microcontroller could be available to do it, but slower.
I would like to read datas via Analog ports at Arduino Uno using potentiometer.

The question will be, which is the fastest way to store the datas?
I know the external storage like SD are very slow for this operation.

Perhaps telling us the amount of time you need to “store” that data would help with answers.

Well, that's pretty slow right there.
I'd change to an external ADC, then you could achieve 44.1KHz sample saving to SD card.
