The inner workings of LTE-M modules with a SIM7080G

Hi,

I would like to discuss the inner workings of Pico SIM7080G and m5stack STAMP Cat-M, which also has a SIM7080G chip.

However, my intention is to use micropython to control them. Would it be ok to start a "language agnostic" topic on these boards?

2G, GPRS, GSM and SMS have been used for the past 20 years(?) and it seems technologies like LTE-M and NB-IOT are here to replace them. I think it could be beneficial to have a thread to discuss the basic workings apart from the language used.

So before I start typing away, is this ok?
