Well I was getting stupid web traffic on my site and 98.9% of it was apparently from images.
I have hardly any images and they are all pretty tiny so this was a bit confusing.
I have now worked it out though.
As my website logo (below my name) is now linked to my site (changed it from flickr as there were issues with it not showing up), every single time someone visits a page on the arduino forum in which I have commented, the icon is loaded from my site...
So the >25000 hits from the arduino site all on that image have not been helping matters!
I have not changed it yet but I will do so soon...
Bar Sport cos I don't think anyone really cares, I just felt like saying ;D

You should be able to set/change the caching parameters to reduce or eliminate that traffic. The downside is, if you change your graphic, it will take a while for everyone to see it (but I think we'll survive ;)).
Cool, so if I hit refresh you get another hit, or probably two as the image displays twice!
Yep, that's how it works. It gets really bad if you post a picture on your WS that goes viral and every blog and their dog decides to link it. Our commercial site has a hotlink disallow in the htaccess file because of being treated as an image repository.
My site was hit with 900+ visitors within an hour a few days ago, resulted in a few orders with all the traffic coming from Yahoo, settled down now, unfortunatly
