The Omphalos clock displays the time, date, etc and also the number of seconds since the Creation.
As you know, in 1654, Bishop James Ussher determinated that world was created the 23 October BC (tomorrow is the aniversary!), in his well known Annales veteris testamenti, a prima mundi origine deducti.
The clock also has other alegoric LEDs. The 12-digit number is calculated and displayed using scroll. The displays are driven with shift registers. Ok, it could have been done with a LCD but the red light of the LEDs has more mystery. On the back, there are three buttons to control the device.
There are still a few bugs, and I want to implement a real-time clock with battery in case of loosing power, but I wanted to show you the first version
