The Secret Life of Components

First episode starts with roller chain end ends with belts.

added 10/29: LEDs, some excite phosphors to get colors

All very practical and complete.

It's Tim and Rex from The Secret Life of Machines (ran 3 seasons) IIRC in the 70's.

Now they're older, still field testing automated museum displays.

Brilliant series, both of them, unique presentation.

The earlier series is classic stuff, with real experiments and practical application with a bit of humour thrown in.
Pity Rex passed away, he would have been good also in the Components series.

Tom.... :grinning: :+1: :coffee: :australia:

Has anyone been to Tim's arcade?

Tim Hunkin used to have a display of automata in Covent Garden market, and a water clock a couple of hundred metres away in Neal's Yard.

I love his humour and craftsmanship.
