I can also reproduce the issue. From the multitude of reports in this thread and the other, it seems likely that this is a bug introduced by the Arduino developers in some recent changes to the Arduino Web Editor. My recommendation is that if you can use the standard Arduino IDE for now don't spend a lot of time struggling with this issue as there is a good chance there is nothing you can do and it will fix itself as soon as the developers notice the reports and resolve the problem. Unfortunately the weekend might delay this by a couple days, hopefully not.
