Thermal camera

Hi,
I am working on a project now where it would be nice to use thermal camera instead of several thermo resistors. The problem is that the camera needs to be able to visualize up to 900C(1650F), however the camera will be placed where cooling is available and hence only needs to withstand 80C(176F).

Are there such cameras on the market?

Put a neutral density IR filter in front of the sensor.

Low res thermopile array.

Great idea with the filters, Which camera do you recommend?

An object at 900 deg C is glowing bright orange.
Buy a $5 webcam, remove the IR blocking filter and put a dark red filter in front of the lens.

Proper thermal cameras are very expensive , what are you trying to do ?

Going to test a 10Kw Solide Oxide Fuel Cell, and want to see the temperature distrubution on the various metal parts inside the enclosure
