Thermal Printer Issues

Hey Guys,

New to this, but currently struggling getting the thermal printer printing large pieces of text. It seems to print up to 7 small characters fine, any more then it starts then stops. Just running a simple test for now, any help would be greatly appreciated. Arduino Uno Plugged into USB then plugged into mains also with 5v plug. printer is in Vin and Gnd. See attached what i mean
