Thermal Printer

Hello!

I'm trying to find a way to flip the text i'm printing on my thermal printer. The reason is because the printer is mounted on the front of a box, and the text appears printed upside down by default. Is there a way to make the printer print so the text that comes out can be read normally as it prints, rather then having it upside down. I want the text rotated 180 degrees.

Thank you!

I doubt you could do that at regular Arduino. However at Arduino Yun/Tre/Intel Galileo you could print it to image, then by image library flip it. Last print flipped image to printer.

I don't know if that printer has a full command support that is compatible to EPSON thermal printers.

Perhaps try out and send the switching code for toggling upside down printing:

    SerialX.print("\x1B{");

(X= number of Serial you connected the pritner to.)

Does it toggle to upside down printing?
