Thermocouple Malfuction

Hello,

I am new to arduinoand had a friend help me set up my printers firmware with thermocouples but I believe that It has not worked well given that I am having more problems than the advantage of printing more materials.

to begin, thermos read 5 degrees higher than thermistors. fluctuations are abrupt by only giving them body heat while thermos maintain a smooth temp curve.

Im not able to reach my temp and maintain it, needles to say it takes a very long time to reach. have done PID tunes but no help there, could it be fans are too high?

I am running marlin, using an azteeg X3 pro with 24V heaters. I would like to know if anyone has any info as to where do I change the TC1 pin to my pin11 used for thermistors I thought it would be on pins.h but no data is there. also he turned off my max temp safety and I dont know where to turn it back on. already changed the -1 sensor to 5 which is the value for thermistors.

any help would be appreciated, I have attached my firmware if that helps I know they are 2 different issues Heating problems and thermal sensors but I thought it would be easier to consolidate both problems in one post.

Thank you

Hi,

To help you we need to see your circuit schematic and how you have connected the arduino to the outside world.

Can you please post a copy of your circuit, in CAD or a picture of a hand drawn circuit in jpg, png or pdf?

Also can you post a links to specs to the gear connected to the arduino, what model arduino have you got?

There will be a delay on reading change depending on what type of casing the thermocouple has.

Thanks.. Tom.....
