Things that annoy me . . .

  • having to type this in a second time because the web site just crashed.

  • not getting access to my account when I try to get to ‘Drafts’ to retrieve typed content just prior to the site going down.

  • product boxes that have 1/3rd air space to make you think the volume you are getting is more than you are.

  • power tool cords that hardly bend because the manufacturer has used the cheapest cord possible. And just wait till you try to use them below 0°C.

  • having to acknowledge I really want to ‘Mark everything as read’.

  • Alexa not giving me her full attention, (okay, she is only five years old).

  • the butcher who hides fat under the meat.

  • chrome plated tools.

  • dull knives.

  • bank staff.

  • devices that use AAA batteries rather than AA.

  • that damn packaging that batteries come locked in.

  • product ads that tell you what contents are not in them.

  • Duracell batteries that say they are good till 2030.

  • political parties.

  • Micro-USB connectors.

  • salt on the roads.

  • potholes.

  • ring tones. And people who have to share their cell phone conversations by talking in a loud tone while sitting in public.

  • people who TEXT and drive.

  • vapers.

  • the word “SALE”.

  • Amazon delivery people that will not ring the door bell but have time to take a picture of your package sitting on the front step.

I guess all that snow is depressing :)

Politicians who only tell part of the truth - which oftentimes has the effect of turning the truth into a lie

Politicians who encourage the belief that some group (usually "foreigners") is the cause of the problem.

Unsolicited phonecalls that begin...

Hello Misterrrr Geeeeoooooorg....

At which time I stop them and ask them for my address. 10 out 10 times they give my old address, 12year ago. I inform them that they have been ripped off with their call list which is at least 12yo and not up to date, then hang up. :)

That's a huge one.

That tactic has been used over the ages 1000s of time.

Doesn't happen anymore but, coming behind someone who worked on equipment with eight, or more, screws holding a cover plate. The originals were all identical whatever. Fine, I have multiple screwdrivers/Allens, etc. Buuut, due to droppage one, sometimes two, have been replaced with Philips/Allen/etc. >:(

Or follow on from an ironworker where metric bolts were replaced with imperial and driven in with the force of a drug fuelled mutant. :grinning:

And 60 days later the special rate ends and you might as well have Capital One at over 20%.

The worst calls a the “This is the final notice!”

Let me help you here. You see, the US Quarter is 1/2 meter across while the Dime is 2mm across and IME the word Nickel can reduce drunk Aussies to giggles.

That should help.
