This annoying AVR-Dude works on Mega but not on Uno, Nano, Leonardo - OSX 10.14

Another annoying AVR Dude here.
I always get these avrdude - programmer is not responding. I have read 100 forum entries about the problem. Here is my very own variant.

I have an Arduino Mega 2560 and several others working on a Mac with OSX 10.14.6 with the IDE 1.8.10 with a TeensyDuino Extension 1.48 that also works great. (Yes I also have some Teensies that work fine.)
I can perfectly transfer my programs to my Mega 2560. Everything works great, except ...

Then I have 2 very new Arduino Unos, right out of the box. Nothing attached. Nothing uploaded.
When I attach them to my Mac they are recognized on the USB. I can select them by name in the IDE "/dev/cu.usbmodem1401 (Arduino/Genuino Uno)" and of course I select the proper board in the IDE.
So apparently the cable works, the USB is somehow recognized correctly, the Mega 2560 works. Nevertheless, this annoying AVR Dude always prevents me from uploading the simple blink sketch that wonderfully works on the Mega 2560.

Same problem with an elder Nano and a Leonardo. I simply get no program onto the devices. They usually compile. They say that they need 7% of memory or whatever, but then this AVR Dude comes and annoys me.

I've also tried to load a new USB-Driver (http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm), and I have also tried to use elder IDEs (1.6.5-r5 and 1.8.12)
Currently, I'm back to the recent IDE 1.8.10

Here is the verbose output for the Uno:

avrdude done.  Thank you.

I even tried to upload via ISP. Then the error message is somehow differen 'not in sync' but the effect is the same. No upload possible.

Any help is very welcome.

Please post the full output from uploading to the Nano and the Leonardo as well. Use the Arduino IDE's "Copy error messages" button to copy the error, since that will provide us with a little bit of extra information that might be useful.

Coming soon.
The Unos by the way work on a Windows7 PC of a friend of mine.
