That is sad news
A great loss. He maybe didn't post very often latterly, but when he did it was always helpful, particularly with hardware problems and he will be missed. His Arduino boards were often very innovative and solved problems over and above what the normal range of boards could do
Saddens me to hear.
That's very sad; my thought are with his family and friends.
His knowledge will be missed.
This is a shock and very sad. I've particularly admired the range of boards he sold and I am sure those will be missed.
My thoughts with his family and friends.
Very sad....
If it wasn't for this pandemic, he would still be with us.
Goodbye Bob and thankyou for your huge contribution to the forum and the world of Arduino.
Well, crap.
Goodbye Bob. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I could add "BUGGER", Australian idiom for stuffed.
Toyota Bugger
Tom..
I knew Bob from my 1st run through the forum back years ago. Always helpful and if you were butting your head on maxing out hardware, he was right there with some new board he had designed I still have some of his Atmega2560 boards that I have yet to populate; I liked them so much, I have saved them for my most special old-style project incarnation. Now, on my second run in the forum, Bob will be visibily missed. Rest, friend.

Shocking news to get... I had several PM exchanges in the past, he helped me during my first steps in this world designing a little schematic and solving me lot of troubles. He also helped in my moderator's job. I will never forget his kind ways in dealing with people and always having a helpful comment for everyone. I wasn't lucky enough to meet him in person (too far away) but I'm sure he was a great person. RIP
An update from forum moderator Nick Gammon
'His wife Kathy tells me that she intends to keep running their business, so any post you make might encourage people to keep supporting their web site if they need some of the gadgets that are advertised there. It won't help Kathy if people get the impression that the business has closed."

Goodbye Bob, have a good trip.
A great loss to his family and to the community.
I had the honor of meeting Bob back in July 2011. A fellow forum member, John Liu (@liuzengqiang) was coming to the Boston area from Minnesota and asked if anyone was interested in a meetup. Bob and I (both in eastern Massachusetts) responded and the three of us met in Lexington for lunch.
