Time taken for a wifi enabled Arduino to power up an be ready

Hi guys New to the forum. I am considering using an Arduino with WiFI in my intelligent Rack.. however I am powering the rack on an as needed basis (i.e only when I am using it) .. which means I will power the arduino up before using it... I need this time to be as short as possible before I start communicating with the arduino over wifi.. Do we know what is the shortest time after power up I can have the Arduino up to a wifi ready state?

Cheers Tony

Which specific model of Arduino are you using?

Hi .. I am just investigating at the moment.. really would need for it to be up and ready within 1 second.. I have no particular model in mind and am open to suggestion on that front. thanks

really would need for it to be up and ready within 1 second..

To my knowledge none of the available boards is ready and connected to the network within 1 second.

Thanks Pylon
