It is possible to make an off the shelf AV selector switch in to one where one input is timed and after a set duration switches back to the other input?

Sorry i mean audio visual like 2 RCA outputs going to 1 input

Find out whether that switch operates on mechanical contacts or on electronics. If it's based on mechanics, find a relay with enough contacts, or replace it by a number of (Reed) relays. Or find a different switch, that is based on electronics. Then write the code to toggle that switch at given times.

So it sound like it would be possible and easier if the switch had electronic switches
