PaulS:
I'm looking at the documentation for the Ciao library, and it is the poorest example that I've ever seen. None of the argument types are documented. All the examples assume that Strings are the most wonderful thing since sliced bread. The library only works for a limited number of non-standard Arduinos, none of which I have. don't have the Ciao library installed, but it is documented as a standard library, with no indication how to obtain it.
The library manager throws up all kinds of cryptic messages involving unhandled exceptions, and knows nothing about the Ciao library.
So, I guess you'll just have to continue using Strings.
Ok, thank you very much
