TinyWireS : is there more than one version ?????

Hi folks,

A while ago, I did a design that used an ATTiny85 and communication over I2C. It worked fine !

time has passed, new computer, so I have re-installed my softwares, including Arduino. Downloaded TinyWireS.

Re-opened my old sketch, but it would not compile anymore....

Old one had the following:

Wire.begin(8);                // join i2c bus with address #8
Wire.onRequest(requestEvent); // register event

When I compiled, the error message said that onRequest does not exist !!!

Opened the example that came with the library. the example was rather using this:

if (TinyWireS.available()){           // got I2C input!
byteRcvd = TinyWireS.receive();

It's not the first time that I have that issue with TinyWireS

Am I the only to have experienced that situation ?????

It's not the first time that I have that issue with TinyWireS

I wonder if the trick that solved the problem the first time would work again.

Been a while for that one too.... not sure which version is which any more....

just curious if it's me or what ?!

I confirm: TinyWireS exist in 2 versions

One that uses "onRequest" and one that does not.

Just spent a couple of hours searching/renaming/trying different libraries named "TinyWireS"
