I saw photo of a sign from the Nullarbor that said "please don't ask for water as refusal can offend"!
Last I heard you can't even fill up if you stay in a caravan park. Doesn't worry me because even though it takes me a couple of weeks to cross I can last for two months without needing to take on water.
the haze is spreading the energy more evenly
We have a lot of Unisolar panels and they have a slightly stippled surface so the haze may help the light reach all of the "bumps". That said we have friends with normal panels and they report the same.
