TMS2209 driver with 42HS34 Stepper Motor

Hello,
I am very new in the Arduino area and would appreciate any advice regarding the simplest way to connect S2209 V3.1, Arduino Micro atmelmega32u4, and 42HS34 (L) -0404JA05-D20 stepper motor. I need just to start the motor moving with ~300-500 rpm. Minimum code.
Thank you.

A 42HS34 0404 seems to be a hybrid (30 ohm) stepper motor, and could be a poor combination with a current controlled stepper driver. A 12volt supply won't cut it. 24volt might sort-off work.
You should have bought a more modern low-impedance stepper motor for that driver.
Your current motor will work ok (low speed/torque only) with a common H-bridge and a 12volt supply.

Dear Leo,

Thank you so much! Very important info.

Which stepper or type of steppers would you suggest? Amazon links would be appreciated.

Ilya

Any modern low-impedance (not 30 ohm) stepper with a coil current within the limits of your driver will do. How low depends on your supply voltage and speed/torque requirements.
Example: The 17HS4401 is 1.5ohm/1.7Amp. Good for a 12volt supply.
Leo..

Thank you so much
