ESP8266: Timed out waiting for packet header

I have worked with code on a project for a few months:

Today this happened:

I have compiled and uploaded with NodeMCU(1.0) many, many times

  1. I tried a new ESP module, it uploaded

  2. USB cable is with power + data (tested with my phone, I could communicate to PC)

  3. I also connected pin RST to ground while power up, this has helped me before, not today.

  4. And did try Blink sketch, no luck

  5. I also tried the NodeMCU firmware programmer with no luck:

Any tip to make my "old" module to accept uplaoad?
