Hello, I am completely new to Arduino programming but was tasked with creating a program to operate a tollbooth machine :slightly_frowning_face: . If someone could give me some general direction, or even how to approach the problem, that would be great. Here are the requirements for the project:

Open the arm when button 1 is pressed, then light up an LED indicator when the Open Limit touch sensor has been hit and then stop the motor.

Close the arm when button 2 is pressed, then light up an LED indicator when the Close Limit touch sensor has been hit, then stop the motor.

You really need to start with general Arduino knowledge, following the examples here which are also in the IDE at File > Examples.

It's important to get your mind round the basics before heading into a project. For a boom a servo might be appropriate, so also look here and or here.
