More often than not I open a thread just find out it was “deleted”
I would suggest that the forum itself (Discord, maybe?) should delete it altogether and save us a few seconds…

Personally I find this more annoying and more a waste of time; I often miss the fact that a topic was closed by "system" 
One unread topic in "Programming Questions"
Click "1 unread" link.
Closed by "system" after 6 months.
This topic was automatically closed 180 days after the last reply. New replies are no longer allowed.
