my arduino board arrived some weeks ago but im not sure how to install. do u install driver first (no cd came with it) where do i get it, or do i plug it in then install? do i use blink? sry for stupid questions to u guys but im just learning this. thx

The FT232 USB UART driver needs to be installed. You can download it from FTDI website. Its www.ftdichip.com . Got that problem myself. You also have to download the arduino software from this website only. Get the version 22 as it is the latest. Good luck..! :)

No, this is not always correct. The FTDI drivers are only installed on Arduino boards that have a FTDI chip. The Uno, for example, does not have a FTDI chip.

To be blunt, the board clearly says "Uno" on it.
