touchscreen monitor recomendations

Hey,
i have a project im doing. playing with an adafruit 3.5" touchscreen just to get the ball rolling.

Im after some recomendations for a mid range quality screen, around 3.5"(resistive or cap), with an emphasis on contuned supply over anything.

anyone have a good supplier they would like to share

Cheers

4D Systems are the ones I use

Cheers Mark, looks like a nice product range, local too

for a not particularly clean industrial enviroment (nothing over the top harsh), what would be the best option, cap or resistive

Depends on what you are going to use to control it. Resistive requires pressure to activate the icons so can use anything as a stylus. Capacitive uses the electrical charge in your finger but won't work with glove or a standard stylus/ball point pen cap etc.

I myself use the resistive versions as I use an old HP iPAQ stylus. Other than that they are identical in use. The 4gen versions are the newer screens but have the bezel glued to the screens from manufacturing. Attached is a screen shot(picture) of one of the screens I programmed for my Astro gear/dew controllers programmed on a Mege2560 on a 70DT

Nope can't attached the image due to a security check!!!! and along with the 5 minute no posting - this forum needs a revamp

Lets try it as a link!

thanks mark are you usind the 4d pro or standard version for programming the screeen

I'm using the Pro Version as I was using MagicEvents to control the Intervalometer buttons in the Astro project. I have only used the Visi-Genie out of the 4 IDE's but if coding there is a lot of flexibility with the other IDE's
