Sadly, the person is expected to be mobile - Accelerometers were my first idea, but movement rather nullifies that approach. The drone analogy, I must say, is ingenious. I didn't even think of approaching this project from that direction, but I can see why approaching it from that direction may be of benefit.
All in all, that is another thing to attempt. This is going to be a fun project!
