I have a motor connected to a transistor on the motors ground wire. the transistor is connected to the arduino. when my motor run (pin goes high through 1000 ohm resistor to transistor) my other devices connected to the arduino go on too. servos,led's, ect. what can this be?

You have either wired it up wrong or interference from the motor is upsetting the arduino.
Replace the motor with an LED (and resistor) , if the same happens it is wired wrong. If it doesn't then it is the interference.
I put the led there and it was good no interference with anything.
Then you need decoupling:-
