Transmission Controller

@patrick_bateman asked awhile back about controlling a transmission. I've already written a custom PCM for my truck and it's working great. A transmission controller sounds like something fun to play with too. So I'm curious if anyone has had any successes to share or failures, links to video's etc.

This kind of stuff is fun, even if it never comes to fruition, you always learn something along the way!
Like my open-sourced PCM here OPCM(Open-source Power-train Control Module)

The question automatically asked here is - where are you going to be using it, since the vehicle may no longer be insurable and registrable on public roads.

You'll want to use an AVR that specifically automotive rated:

I'm actually planning on going a step further and making it marine grade. Thanks for the link, lots of great information there!

@Paul_B I may be confused, I was under the impression this was an arduino forum, not a law advice forum.

I wouldn't trust my life to it unless an engineering firm tested it and signed off on it. No insurance company will like it either.

@er_name_not_found I'd be more concerned about your wallet haha.

It's called a bonus.
