Transmit power control for NRF24L01+PA/LNA module

Hi,

The 24L01+ modules have four power levels MIN,LOW, HIGH and MAX. I get increasing current consumption with these increasing power levels so it seems ok.

However, when on the same board, I replace the 24L01+ module with NRF24L01+PA/LNA module then I dont see any increase in current consumption with all the 4 transmit power settings. So this raises the following questions

  1. Is there any change one must do in software or library in order to use the PA/LNA module?
  2. What are the transmit power levels and their current consumptions for the module?

I am using AA alkaline cells.
