Hi everyone,

Under the table in a restaurant I found, what I believe to be a transmitter. Something like hi-tech spy bug transmitter.
Additional photo of the "thing" is attached with this topic.

  1. I would like to know if anyone has ever seen something like this?
  2. How do I detect the frequency of this thing?
  3. Is it possible there is a transmitter without any power supply(battery or charger)?

P.S. The pen is just to scale the size of the thing, the back side is just blank, with some kind of glue, so it can be glued to things.

Looks like it is a RFID chip.

The thing is why would there be an RFID tag glued under the table. I assume that now you have stolen this what ever it was designed to do doesn't work any more.

After removing the RFID chip, were you by chance served someone else's order?

Never ever look under the table in a restaurant.
