Transmitting a signal from two different proximity sensors to an Ipad app.

Hey, I'm extremely new to the whole Arduino system, I would like to make a monitor for a piece of equipment on my farm that would have two proximity sensors, one to record the number of bales the machine is making, and another that would tell me a value about each of the bales, what is the best way to go about this??

Get an Arduino or maybe better a WeMOS or NodeMCU board (with ESP8266 so you can connect over WiFi), get your sensors to work, make it connect to your phone, and start sending your data.

You'll probably also have to build yourself an app for your phone - App Inventor works quite well for simple Android apps.
