Tri-Color LED Breakout Kit

Totally new to this and haven't put all the components on the breakout, but I had a few questions before I solder.

Does it matter which way the resistors go in?

On the holes for the LED, what do the "L" and the "S" indicate?

No.

Yes, it matters. The "L" indicates the LED's longer lead, and the "S" indicates the shorter lead.
