triggering a Cmos sensor, using arduino

Hi, I am working on a project where I have to trigger a CMOS sensor. How would I do that using arduino? Also, if there are any resources that I can read to help me, I will appreciate it if I can be pointed to it

Thank you so much

A bit more information please?

trigger a CMOS sensor

What do you mean by this?

Do you have any idea what you just said ? Why don't you start by telling us what CMOS is ? And then get to the sensor part.

Do you have any idea what CMOS is ? Do you think we would have any idea what you mean by a sensor ?

Making multiples posts on the same topic wastes our time!

This is weird. I have the feeling I've seen this post before ....

The arduino has to sent control signals to trigger the CMOS camera, basically the same as pushing the camera button but instead of physically pushing it, the arduino triggers it

A CMOS sensor is a sensor used in cameras, basically I just need to trigger a camera using an arduino. Sorry, I was not clear in my question.

Making posts before reading the stickies at the top of the forum also wastes our time. Your question is as precise as "I want to buy a part for my vehicle" would be on a motoring forum.

Post a link for your sensor. Get in the habit of posting links for your hardware when asking hardware questions. We don’t have a crystal ball. There may be more than one brand or model.

thanks for your patience and advice. do you happen to know how to trigger these kinds of sensors using arduino?

Sorry for the multiple posts, I just didnt know whether this falls under programing or project guidance. The sensor I am talking about is this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CMOS sorry again

Dude, I know what CMOS is . I've been doing this since 1979. I asked for link for your sensor, not for CMOS . Was that not clear ?

I am using the MT9F002 CMOS image sensor, sorry for the misunderstanding. I will really appreciate your help. thanks

somio: I am using the MT9F002 CMOS image sensor, sorry for the misunderstanding.

It wasn't a misunderstanding: you didn't give any information in your opening post. The first response was in 3 minutes.... time elapsed now, 1.5 hours. Makes sense to me, to give as much info as possible and perhaps get some advice right out the blocks.

Do you have a datasheet ? I can't get into the website because they don't accept free email addresses.

Please do not cross-post. This wastes time and resources as people attempt to answer your question on multiple threads.

Threads merged.

The correct approach is to take a guess. Not to cross post. That just splits everyone's attention and gets everyone riled up.
