i recently purchased an arduino mega 2560 R3 board and a 3.2' tft screen from banggood. I have been facing a couple of problems from the onset, firstly how do i distinguish the type of display i have inorder to correctly define the parameters for the display model, and secondly when attemping to calibrate the screen i ran the example code but it only goes as far as the first page where it says touch screen to continue, when i try to touch the screen nothing happens its as though it is not touch sensitive. how do i resolve this?? please help
All I can suggest is, look for any markings or part numbers on the TFT display and Google. Or, are there any comments in the sample code that give a hint to the manufacturer and/or part number?
...If you buy from a reputable supplier you should know the manufacturer and model number and you can download the datasheet (which should be many pages) before you buy. The manufacturer's datasheet probably won't have any Arduino specific information, but it will have all the information about how to interface with it.

This might be a dumb question, but are you sure the example code is supposed to read the touch screen?
