I have the agent installed but the icon is still gray colored when it is resumed and on. I am unable to connect to the cloud to upload sketches to my Arduino. Is there any way to fix this?
Are you running macOS Ventura? If so when they rolled this out it blocked the agent. I uninstalled and re-installed the agent and when I installed it I had to open security settings and give it permission.
I am running Windows 10 and I made an exception in my Avast antivirus and it still didn't work
You might be misinterpreting the color. There is still some information out there that says the Arduino Create Agent's icon should be blue/green when active. The color was changed to white in 2020:

Note that there is not a lot of difference between the white color of the active icon and the light gray of the paused icon (even less so when they are on the colored background of your system tray.
So as long as it is white rather than gray, then the icon color is not indicating any problem.

That makes sense, I do believe that the color is correct on mine. However I still do not get the proper connection because when I try to upload a script to my Arduino it does not work

I am running into the same sort of issue. MacOS Ventura is reporting that the installation package is corrupted and asks if I want to move it to the trash or cancel the installation. Either choice does not allow me to install. There are also issues with the certificate installation failing. I can provide screenshots if needed.

- Press Ctrl+V to paste the screenshot from the clipboard.
