Hi everyone I am completely new to Arduino and have a project I need to make including Arduino Uno and to get it to play an audio file of my choosing through a speaker. I bought an SV5W module as I was recommended by the guy in the store.
So my problem is that I cannot figure out how to connect them. I looked at a couple of tutorials and connected the 5V pins correctly but I cannot get it to produce any sound or any sort of sign that it is actually working. Additionally when I connect the SV5W to my laptop with a micro USB it does not show up. Tried different cables etc. but nothing happens. So it leads me to think that even if I can get it to work I wont be able to upload my mp3 files to it anyway 
I apologise if this may sound stupid I have just never done this and don't know where to look for help. I can also provide photos of the devices and wiring if needed.
