Trouble Installing Arduino IDE

Hey I'm really new to this and I'm having trouble installing the arduino software on my computer.

I'm using a Dell Dimension 2400 that is running IceWM 1.2.27 that is not connected to the internet and I'm fairly new to linux itself.

I've downloaded the following files on my root folder

arduino_1.0.5+dfsg2-4_all.deb arduino_1.0.5+dfsg2-4.debian.tar.xz

arduino_1.0.5+dfsg2-4.dsc arduino_1.0.5+dfsg2-4.orig.tar.gz arduino-core_1.0.5+dfsg2-4_all.deb

when I type in (on the admin user) into terminal

apt-get install arduino

it says Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done E: unable to locate package arduino

I get the same thing if i type arduino-core instead of just arduino, can someone help please?

thanks in advance, I've been trying to do this for over two hours and I'm about to start pulling my hair out

You will not be able to install anything using apt without being connected to the internet. Have a look at this page. It details the process that is needed to install Arduino on a Linux platform.
