Trouble Pairing a PS4 Controller to Arduino

Hi. I'm having trouble pairing a PS4 controller to an Arduino Uno using the USB Host Shield 2.0 library. I have an Arduino Uno, USB Shield, and a Bluetooth dongle, but when I try pairing the controller by holding share and the PS button it does not connect. The code I'm using is the PS4 example that comes with the library. Am I doing something wrong?

Some more info is needed.
I assume the shield is plugged into the UNO. What about the dongle? Any cables connecting it? If so: Please post links to the datasheets of both the shield and the dongle. Also post schematics for shield-dongle.
Reading Your post the major issue is: You forgot the code....

Uh so after further experimenting I have moved on from the Arduino and am now using an Adafruit esp32 with built in bluetooth. So I no longer an using the old code and bluetooth dongle/USB Shield setup.

All is good now?

Yes
