Trouble uploading

Hi
Hoping this is the good place for my question

I think, you know all this famous message when trying to upload your sketch

rst:0x1 (poweron_reset),boot:0x13 (spi_fast_flash_boot) flash read err, 1000 ets_main c 371

So, before answering, let me explain

I got an ESP32 Wroover-Dev board
I a got 3 PC : one with Linux Fedora 38 (Lastest version) , one with Windows 10 and one with windows 11
Trying to compile then upload the simpliest sketch give me this same result whatever Arduino IDE version is

  • Élément On windows 11 rst:0x1 (poweron_reset),boot:0x13 (spi_fast_flash_boot) flash read err, 1000 ets_main c 371

  • Élément On windows 10 everything worked fine until severals months and now rst:0x1 (poweron_reset),boot:0x13 (spi_fast_flash_boot) flash read err, 1000 ets_main c 371

  • Élément On Linux Fedra38 : Everything works !

Testing with same board, and same usb cable.

I've tried to uninstall/reinstall Arduino's USB driver several times with no result
I've tried to uninstall/resintall Arduino IDE several times with differents version and the result is the same

For information : trying to upload micropython firmware with thonny is working with Linux Fedora and not working with windows 10 and 11 , it seems that Windows can not write into board's flash memory.
My virus protection is just the original Windows Defender.

So, it seems that this not an Arduino IDE (nor a Thonny) bug but a new microsoft OS limitation

So, what's going on ? a microsoft OS update ?

Must I use Linux ? I love Linux Fedora since 20 years but, Fedora 38 (the lastest version : borned in 2023) is on my oldest computer (15 years old) wich have a small 14' screen and its touchpad is out of service.

Not quite  Moved to a more suitable location on the forum.

I'm not familiar with your board so can't advise.

Hi, thanks, it seems that the upload trouble is not about my board or my usb cable but about Microsoft windows hardware limitations
(Uploading work with Arduino on Linux Fedora ,it worked on Windows 10 several months ago not anymore now and dosen't on Windows 11)
