Trouble with AVRISP - Do i need drivers?

Hi, has been over 5 years since i was here last.
Have pulled some electronics out of the cupboard and am getting back into it.

I am trying to burn a bootloader into an ATmega168 on a ModernDevice Bare-bones board (revE)
Using the current IDE and an AVRISP i purchased off E-Bay some time ago (looks like this)

When i attempt to burn i get the following message...
"avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00"

I'm pretty rusty, but am sure this ISP worked in the past (~ 2009)
When i plugged it in another com port appeared which i assume is the device.
Do i need to install any addition drivers or programs?

Cheers.

Yes, search the IDE folders for "avrisp2.inf" and try those drivers for Atmel AVR ISP MKii.

If the ISP is something else, then find appropriate drivers. The link you provided does not open for me, just times out. May need an entry in programmers.txt as well.
