Hey,
I'm a year 9 student doing a robotics program using arduino. I have been using the arduino program for a few weeks now, but suddenly it says "Sketch uses 2,516 bytes (7%) of program storage space. Maximum is 32,256 bytes.
Global variables use 54 bytes (2%) of dynamic memory, leaving 1,994 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2,048 bytes.
avrdude: ser_open(): can't open device "\.\COM3": The system cannot find the file specified.

That is the only line that matters.

Have you checked that your Arduino is actually connected to COM3?

Have you tried disconecting the USB cable and reinserting it?
