Hello, I am trying to program an ATTiny 1617 using a Adafruit friend and Arduino IDE 2.3.0. I have used this setup to load many 1616’s and have had no issues. I decided to go to the 1617 for additional pins but I cannot get it to upload. I am using megaTinyCore and have selected the correct board, chip, and I’m using SerialUPDI- 230400 baud. It continues to error out stating, “Device ID mismatch! Stopping.” However if I change the board and chip to 1616, it loads a program successfully but I can only use 14 pins instead of all 20. I have tried this on three separate chips and all have the same result. Anyone have a suggestion how I can successfully program the 1617 chip. I am obviously new to this and have tried to lookup up solutions but most discussions are over my head. Thanks
